Stockton Soda was founded in 2019 to construct and manage bulk Soda Ash export port facilities. Stockton Soda was originally named Denmar US, LLC, which started as a partnership between Ciner and Imisk. Recently, Sisecam Chemicals acquired a stake in Denmar US, resulting in the current ownership structure being divided equally between Sisecam and Denmar Holdings. Ciner and Imisk own Denmar Holdings, and the name changed to Stockton Soda.
Sisecam Chemicals is a leading Turkish multinational company that has been producing diverse glass products for construction, automotive, packaging, and household use since 1935. Sisecam is also engaged in chemical production and mining, supplying essential components like soda ash for glass manufacturing, detergents, textiles, and pulp and paper industries. Renowned for their innovation, Sisecam remains a major global player in the glass industry, providing top-quality products with a focus on sustainability. Notably, Sisecam is developing a new Soda Ash mine in Green River Wy in partnership with Ciner.

Ciner's mining division produces trona, a key material used in soda ash production. WE Soda, the UK-incorporated holding company for Ciner's global soda ash operations, is a leader in the soda ash industry. Their strategic goals include maintaining and extending their leadership position in the worldwide soda ash industry in production volumes, product quality, supply chain reliability, technology, process innovation, safety, and environmental standards. Notably, Ciner is developing a new Soda Ash mine in Green River Wy in partnership with Sisecam while simultaneously developing its own Soda Ash mine in Green River Wy.
